Liquid time is like having your character in more than one spot at a time, I think. I think it can be useful, but not overdone. Like if you have a thread that's basically dead and you want your character to do something while waiting for that person to respond, or if you're just impatient, like I am slightly. I havent used it yet, but probably will in the future...
Update: Ive used it, maybe a bit too much. I'll probably try to stick to one post unless I have to wait too long or notice a really interesting topic...

I sometimes do for the same reason, members are going to become inactive and most of the time don't tell you so you can't be expcted to wait uneccessarily.

You can be in more than one place. But this really only applies if your charrie was RPing with someone but they have become inactive or something.

I never use liquid time, if a thread becomes inactive i just modify my last post to explain my departure, but I don't like being in too many places at once, mainly because I can't keep on top of it, and because it can cause RP problems if you're really active.

I said no, because in principle I hate liquid timing, but I think I actually have done once on this site. Just as a slight diversion, though, so that Nahira could go bully a wolf on the borders. Seeing as we were both online with nothing to reply to at the time. But I wouldn't liquid time if either topic was of any particular importance.

I know what you mean. I only do it now if someone requests a privateish RP.
