I played the game and beat it back in February. I had read great reviews about it. It was a ground-breaking game with unique graphics style using the good Vs. evil story line and made it for once interesting. Apparently it flopped in Japan. I heard it was from bad advertising. Shortly after it came to the U.S. It also flopped. Though it is a Zelda style game. The large crow that appeals to these sorts of games are right up against shooters. There were several signs of a sequel even though CLOVER STUDIOS was shut down by Campcom. A couple of the EX-members of CS got together and made a new company called SEEDS, now it is called PLATINUM GAMES [Those of you who have played OKAMI will notice something about the logo heheh] And the creators are itching for a sequel.
Wii port or not, before I start, know: At the moment, Capcom has no concrete plans to make Okami 2, and nothing has been greenlit. However! Insiders tell us that Devil May Cry creator and Okami designer Hideki Kamiya really would like to make Okami 2. The Union Jack lovin' game creator is very interested in doing a sequel and has voiced this desire. Unfortunately, since the game is a Capcom/Clover title, it's not his decision to make. It's just something that he'd really like to do. What's more, Kamiya tells our insider that the dissolution of Clover had nothing to do with poor Okami sales. Rather, producer Atsushi Inaba had an argument with Capcom management.
Actually, The Wii port was announced on G4 Tech TV on ATOS. Many people who did play Okami were crazed for a sequel, including one as myself.

They have announced that there remaking Okami on the Wii, but there is no sure signs of a sequel.
Personally I use to adore video games, but today I can't stand playing them. Okami was the only exception, I loved that game with all my heart. (I remember playing it all night on new years eve) Best game I've ever played though, everything about it was excellent. I loved how they actually used the Japanese art style, and if you did not know, all the events and characters are based off of actual japanese folklore. Even the little things like Mr. and Mrs. Cutter are based off an Japanese story.
Anywho I could keep going on about everything I liked. Yeah I think they need to make a sequel, personally not on the Wii though.

OMG!!!I love Okami! That game is like the best game i've ever played for the PS2. I've beaten it about 50 times!XD I really hope that they make a sequel. And if I could I would love to help you as well!^^
